		MUSIC & THEATER PROGRAMS Kindermusik®: (ages newborn to 7) - A well respected and recognized studio music progam that understands early integration of music into a child's daily routine means improving their ability to think, reason, create and express. All educators licensed & trained through Kindermusik International. Each class comes with "At-Home Materials" including book, CD, instrument, and activity book or journal. Classes held in Charlottesville & Lake Monticello Keyboard & Intro to Piano lessons: Classes offered starting at age 5. See below for more information. Only at Charlottesville location. Theater & other music workshops: Throughout the year special workshops will be available for children and teens including Boomwhackers and Sign & Sing. We will have postings on the website as they are scheduled. Fall Classes 2008 (newborn- 5 years) 45 minutes class.  10 week sessions in Fall, Spring & Summer. Parent or caregiver present entire class. Multi-ages in class and can include 1,2 or 3 children. Fall Classes 2008 (ages 2-4) 40 minute class. Parent or caregiver participates in class. Social, emotional, verbal, and communications skills are enhanced through music along with pre-school concepts and development. (ages 4-6) 40 minute class. Parent or caregiver does not participate in class. See description of class above. Tuition & materials for 8 week session: $105 Fall 2008 times: Ages 2-4 Saturdays 11:30am (9/13/08-11/1/08) Ages 4-6 Saturdays 10:50am (9/13/08-11/1/08) Fall 2008 themes: TBA Fall Classes 2008 (0 -18 months) 45 minute class. Two back-to-back 8 week sessions. Parent or caregiver participates entire class. This class is a great start to your child's development. Social, emotional, verbal, and communications skills are enhanced through music. Tuition & materials = $115.00 for 8 weeks or $218 for 16 weeks Fall 2008 times: Thursdays 9:15am Fridays 11:30am Fall themes: TBA Fall 2008 Classes (ages 3-5 yrs) 45 minute class. 15 week session. Parent or caregiver only participates for last 10-15 minutes of class. Social, emotional, verbal, and communications skills are enhanced through music as well as the use of creativity and imagination. Tuition & At-Home materials: $215 Fall 2008 times: Tuesdays 4:00pm Thursdays 1:00pm Fridays 10:30am      Fall 2008 theme: Hello Weather, Let's Play Together Fall Classes 2008 (6 mon - 3 years) 45 minute class. 5 week session. Parent caregiver participates entire class. This class uses American Sign Language along with activities, games, props, and songs to enhance the learning of signs and to better communicate with your child. Tuition & At-Home materials: $215 Fall  2008 times: Wednesdays 9:30am Thursdays 10:00am Fridays 9:30am Fall 2008 theme: Wiggles & Giggles Intro to Piano Private or semi-private (2 to 3 students) class for 5 & 6 year olds to learn music theory and piano skills using developmentally appropriate games, activities, and exercises. A great way to build a foundation for future private lessons for any instrument. 45 minute class. Tuition includes materials. Schedule lesson with instructor. Call for availability. Cost per each 10 week session = $180 Keyboard Lessons Beginner and intermediate lessons available for students at least 7 years old and older. 30 or 45 minute lessons and each student must sign up for a minimum of 8 lessons. Call for availability. Can be scheduled to start any time of year. Cost per 1/2 hr lesson = $20.00 Cost per 45 minute lesson (per recommendation of instructor) = $27.00
